What are the requirements to obtain the license?
- Be of legal age.
- Have the physical capacity and psychological aptitude to own potentially dangerous animals.
- Have not had any previous convictions for crimes.
- Have not been punished for serious offenses.
- Proof of having taken out third-party liability insurance.

We offer walk-in care at our medical center. You can come in anytime during our business hours, and our medical team will see you immediately. The entire process is quick, usually taking no more than 20 minutes.
A valid D.N.I. or NIE and a passport-sized photograph of the interested party.
Our doctor will examine your vision, hearing, and reflexes, monitor your blood pressure, and, depending on the individual case, perform other complementary tests to accurately assess your health.
You will have to pass two psychometric tests:
Personality Test and Decision-Making Test. The first is a self-reported questionnaire consisting of a series of multiple-choice questions that measures a person’s mental and emotional stability.
The second consists of various stimuli being presented to the person, to which they must react according to specified instructions. It assesses the tendency to break rules.
It won’t take you more than 20 minutes to complete all the medical and psychological examinations. Of course, this will depend on your health.
The medical certificate is valid for three months from the date of the checkup. However, if for any reason you need a copy and your certificate has not yet expired, we will make one for you immediately, free of charge, and the original date will be kept.
The license is personal, non-transferable, and valid for 5 years. To walk your pet, you must carry the license and the certificate of registration in the Municipal Registry of Potentially Dangerous Animals.
The procedure can be completed online with a signature and electronic ID or at municipal registry offices.
